Life has a funny way of telling you something even when you don't know it is. I have so many favorite memories of Hilly but my favorite will always be on any given day watching Hilly eat those damn turkey legs from the "Deadly Deli" across the street. Dennis and I would always joke that Hilly looked like Henry the 8th when he ate those things. He always offered me some but damn those things were bigger than me back in those days (and I never did truly trust that deli)!

Fast forward to this past Weds. when the news breaks that Hilly has passed. I am on vacation and clueless as to what is going on in the world. I am at the rumored "Happiest Place on Earth" walking around the world showcase. I pass a turkey leg stand and decide to buy one. My friends that I am with are all musicians. Some of whom have had the privilege of playing at CB's. All of whom know of my many years there. I start telling them the story of Hilly and the turkey legs when my phone rings. It is my mother calling to tell me that Hilly had passed. At that moment I knew that he was with me. In 30 years of knowing him I never had one of those turkey legs but on that day at that time I was meant to.

He will always be the dad I never had and I will always be his "Jaws".

I'll miss you Hilly. My thoughts and prayers are with Lisa, Dana and the rest of the family.....and the many other people Hilly made feel like they were family.

Love.......Little Linda
