During the latter part of 75',a bar called Broadway Charley's started to put in rock groups booked by Tommy and Jimmy of the Miamis. They had a couple of bands every week for a few months. Mothers, a bar on 23rd also had rock and roll bands for about a year and a half. If I remember correctly The Dictators first started playing there. The Tin Palace opened on the next corner, they were a jazz club, and it was nice having some company. They lasted a couple of years.

Getting back to the Christmas Fest, one of the highlights was a color film premiere rock documentary by Amos Poe and Ivan Krall entitled "Night Lunch." Included in the film were Wayne County, Patti Smith, Blondie, David Bowie, Queen, The New York Dolls, Ramones, Television, Elton John, George Harrison, David Peel, Razberries, etc. This film was Poe and Krall's second effort, their first was an underground film called "Blank Generation." The Christmas rock festival lasted through New Years Eve and included some of the best of 75': Ramones, Mink Deville, The Shirts, Talking Heads, Orchestra Luna, and Television.
