Believe it or not, out of all the shows I've been to, I never saw a show at CBGBs. I don't know why that is but just never did. Oh well. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the famous club, they have expanded to a music & film festival happening in NYC on October 9th-13th. The CBGB Music & Film Festival will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic, now-defunct New York venue. Running from October 9-13 throughout the Big Apple, the festival will combine musical performances with at least 40 film screenings. As mentioned, the CBGB Festival is returning to various NYC venues this year from October 9 to 13. In addition to the music portion, there will also be a film portion of the festival. The hub for the film portion will be at The Landmark Sunshine Theater on E. Houston St. Badges for the festival are on early-bird sale now through July 1, at which point the regular sale will begin and go through October 8.
