Sex Pistols Got a Record Deal
On this day 40 years ago, Virgin Records announced they signed the Sex Pistols. It was their third record label in under nine months, with two failed deals at both EMI & A&M Records. Under Virgin they released their only studio album "Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols" which peaked at #1 on the UK album charts. The album eventually earned platinum certification in the US, selling over 1 million copies.
